By default, every Start.me page you create is private — only you can view and edit it. You may want to share a page to:
Collaborate with colleagues on a project
Showcase your curated links to friends, students, or clients
Publish your page for anyone on the web
There are three main ways to share a Start.me page:
Invite specific people by email → control exactly who can access your page and set view or edit rights for each person.
Share with your team → the easiest way to securely share a page with a group (available with a Team or Enterprise plan).
Share by link → generate a link you can send or publish for broader access, so the entire internet can find and access your page.
Open Page Share Settings
When you own a page, you'll see a Share button in the page header. Click it to open the sharing panel.
That panel has two tabs:
Collaborate — for inviting individuals or sharing with your team
Share by Link — for generating and managing shareable links
From here, pick the tab that matches how you want to share.
Collaborate → Share by Email
Use this option to share a start.me page privately with specific users.
Only you and those you invite will have access.
A (free) Start.me account is required to view. your page.
In the Collaborate tab:
Enter the person’s email and click Invite.
They will receive an invite and can accept it (log in or register) to access the page.
You can then manage their access:
Grant editing rights (PRO required)
Transfer ownership (they become the owner, you become an editor)
Revoke access
There’s no limit to the number of people you can invite this way.
Collaborate → Share with a Team
If you want to share a page with a group of people (students, colleagues, etc), use Team Sharing. The page will become a team page that all your team members can access.

In the Collaborate tab:
Use the Share with team dropdown and pick your team.
Set the visibility of the page in your team. There are three options:
Everyone can view (default) — meaning all team members can access.
Everyone can edit → all team members can make changes
Restrict to selected members → only chosen members have access
For individual members, you can select one of the following options:
Make editor
Make owner
Remove access
⚠️ Important: Transferring ownership means you’ll become an editor and lose control over settings like delete/share/archive. A confirmation prompt will appear.
Share by Link
Use this when you want to share without inviting someone individually.
There are four link modes:
Private Link (default)
Only logged-in Start.me users you granted access can view or edit your page.
Shareable Link
Anyone who has the link can view your page — no Start.me account needed.
Protected Link (PRO feature)
Only those with both the link and the password you chose can access the page.
Public Link
Anyone on the internet can view the page.
It is indexed by Google and other search engines.
New accounts must wait 24h before using this option.
