The Bookmarks widget is the core building block of Start.me. It stores your links, organized by topic, project, or however you like. You can have as many Bookmarks widgets per page as you want, each with unlimited bookmarks inside.
Add a Bookmarks Widget
Click the + icon in the top right corner of the page.
Select Bookmarks.
An empty widget appears. Give it a title and start adding bookmarks.
Adding Bookmarks
Click the pencil icon on the widget to enter edit mode. You'll see an Add URL field at the top.
Start typing a URL or keyword. Start.me searches its database as you type, so you'll often find the site before you've finished typing. Click the + icon or press Enter to add it.
Other ways to add bookmarks:
Add Multiple URLs - paste a list of URLs at once (click Add Multiple URLs in the add bookmarks panel)
Drag and drop from your browser bookmarks bar directly into a widget
Browser extension or bookmarklet - add the current page with one click

Edit a Bookmark
Right-click any bookmark and select Edit bookmark to open the bookmarks sidebar. From there you can change the title, URL, description, and icon.
The right-click menu also gives you quick access to:
Open in new window
Change icon
Copy link to clipboard
Duplicate bookmark to another page, widget, or group
Move bookmark to another page, widget, or group
Delete
By clicking the pencil icon in the widget, you can update multiple bookmarks at once.
Bookmark Descriptions
You can add a description to any bookmark by right-clicking it and selecting Edit bookmark. The description field supports Markdown (bold, italic, links). Click Get site default description to fetch one automatically from the website.
To display descriptions on your page, set the widget to Detailed display mode via the widget menu's Display settings.

Right-click the widget header or click the three dots icon to open the widget menu. Key options:
Open all links in tabs - opens every bookmark in the widget at once
Sort bookmarks - sort by title, age, domain, or URL (applies instantly, no undo)
Add Group - organize bookmarks into collapsible groups within the widget
Add horizontal line (PRO) - insert a visual separator between bookmarks to organize them into sections. Lines can be dragged to any position and deleted via right-click or the edit modal.
Display settings - change how bookmarks appear:

cloud mode
detailed mode (with bookmark descriptions)
