Why does the "Open all links in new tabs" feature not work?

Pop-up blockers can prevent links from opening in new tabs. Here is how to fix it.

The Open all links in tabs feature (found in a bookmark widget's menu) opens every bookmark in the widget as a new tab. If nothing happens when you click it, your browser is likely blocking the pop-ups.

Google Chrome (and Chromium browsers)

The first time you use this feature, Chrome shows a notification that pop-ups were blocked.

  1. Click the pop-up blocked icon in the address bar (or the notification).

  2. Select Always allow pop-ups and redirects from https://start.me.

  3. Click Done.

  4. Try clicking Open all links in tabs again.

If you don't see the notification, you can allow pop-ups manually:

  1. Go to chrome://settings/content/popups.

  2. Under Allowed to send pop-ups, click Add and enter https://start.me.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security.

  2. Scroll to the Permissions section.

  3. Next to Block pop-up windows, click Exceptions.

  4. Enter https://start.me and click Allow.

  5. Click Save Changes.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Go to edge://settings/content/popups.

  2. Under Allow, click Add and enter https://start.me.

Tip

Start.me will always ask you to confirm before opening many tabs at once, to prevent accidental tab overload.
