Manage User Licenses

Add or reduce user licenses for your Start.me team, and learn who to contact for billing questions.

User licenses determine how many people can be part of your Start.me team or organization. Owners and admins can view the current number of user licenses from the Billing page.

Where to Find User Licenses

  1. Open your team or organization account details.

  2. Go to the Billing tab.

  3. Open the Overview tab.

  4. Look for the User licenses section.

Add More User Licenses

You can upgrade your number of user licenses at any time. This is useful when you want to invite more people to your team.

  1. Go to Billing > Overview.

  2. Click Add user licenses.

  3. Enter how many extra user licenses you want to buy.

  4. Review the summary.

  5. Click the purchase button to confirm.

If you add licenses during an active billing period, a prorated charge may apply for the remaining part of that period. The new total number of user licenses is available right away after the purchase is completed.

Reduce User Licenses

You can also downgrade your number of user licenses. To do this, please email billing@start.me.

Before requesting a downgrade, make sure your team does not have more members than the number of licenses you want to keep. If needed, remove team members first from the Members tab.

What Happens After You Add Licenses?

  • Your new license limit is available immediately.

  • You can invite more team members from the Members tab.

  • Your subscription renews with the updated number of licenses.

  • Invoices and payment information can be found in the Billing tab.
