What is the Page Intro Widget?
The Page Intro widget displays a summary of your page at the top, including the page title, description, author information, and quick actions like follow and share. It is especially useful on shared or public pages where visitors need context about the page and its creator.
What It Shows
Page title - displayed as a large heading
Description - the page description you set in Page Settings. Long descriptions are collapsed with a "Read more" toggle.
Author byline - your avatar, name (links to your public profile on shared pages), and a "Last updated" date
Followers - a badge showing how many people follow this page
Page views - shown when analytics is enabled on the page
Actions
Follow / Pin - visitors who are logged in can pin your page to their account. Logged-out visitors see a tooltip that login is required.
Share - opens a menu with options to copy the page link, generate an embed code, or use your device's native share feature
Display Settings
Open the widget menu and go to Display to toggle these options:
Show stats - show or hide the followers count, page views, and follow button
Show share button - show or hide the share button
Show author name - show or hide the author byline
Editing
The page title and description are not edited directly in this widget. To change them, open Page Settings from the page menu or click the edit option in the widget menu.
