Over time, every bookmark collection gathers some clutter: links that no longer work and pages you saved twice. The Clean up tool finds both for you, across all your pages and widgets, so you can fix them in one place.
Note
Clean up is a PRO feature. Free subscribers can see the tool but need to upgrade to use it.
How to Open Clean Up
Open any bookmarks widget for editing by clicking the Pencil icon.
In the left menu, click Clean up. You will find it right below the Inbox.
The Clean up view has two tabs: Broken links and Duplicate links.
Broken Links
Every day, we check the links in your bookmarks. Links that return a 404 (not found) error are listed in the Broken links tab.
For each broken link you can:
Open it in a new window with the external link icon, to check it yourself.
Click Not broken if the link works fine. We will skip it in future checks and remove it from the list.
Edit the bookmark with the Pencil icon, for example to fix the web address.
Delete it with the Trashcan icon.
To remove several links at once, tick the checkboxes (or use Select all) and click Delete at the top of the list.
Duplicate Links
The Duplicate links tab groups bookmarks that share the same web address. Each group shows the address and every place where you saved it.
Select all selects every copy except the first one in each group. This way, you always keep one bookmark of each address.
You can also tick copies by hand if you want to decide which ones to keep.
Click Delete at the top of the list to remove the selected copies.
Tip
Hover over a bookmark to see where it lives: the page, widget, and group it belongs to. This helps you decide which copy to keep.
Which Bookmarks Appear Here
Clean up only lists bookmarks you can actually fix: bookmarks on your own pages, on team pages you can edit, and in your Inbox. Bookmarks on pages you follow or can only view are not included.
