Create a public profile

Set up your public profile on Start.me with a bio, social links, and a custom profile URL (PRO).

Your public profile displays all your public Start.me pages in one place. You can add a bio, contact details, and social links to make it your own.

Set up your profile

  1. Go to your Account details page.

  2. Scroll down to Preferences and click Edit profile next to the Public profile URL.

  3. Add a short bio, a contact email, and links to your social profiles (Facebook, GitHub, Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, X, WordPress).

  4. Click Done to save.

You need at least one public page for your profile to be visible.

Customize your profile URL (PRO)

By default, your profile URL looks like start.me/u/Slkdjk2973. With a PRO subscription, you can change it to something memorable like start.me/u/yourname.

Instructions

  1. Go to Account details.

  2. Under Preferences, find the Public profile URL and click Change URL.

  3. Type a memorable name in the Your custom name field.

  4. Check the box to confirm the old URL will be replaced, then click Done.

Note

Changing your profile URL replaces the old link. Anyone using the old URL will no longer reach your profile.
