Can I move my columns?

Some of our users have asked us if it's possible to move the columns on your start page. The short answer is: no, we never intended your startpage to be managed by moving columns around. Our basic building block is the widget. 

You can set the number of columns on your desktop computer quickly:

• Click the More button (three dots) > Change background & layout.
• In the menu, select the Number of columns you want to set for your page.

Now you can use drag and drop to move widgets from column to column. Once you start moving widgets, you'll see more options:

• Select one or more widgets.
• Copy widgets.
• Move widgets.
• Delete widgets.

You can also click Close to continue your regular use of start.me.

If you use start.me on a mobile browser, your page isn't structured in columns, but in one single list. You can rearrange the widget order just for your mobile device: changes you make there won't be synchronized with your desktop page.
