Some Firefox users have reported that start.me isn't loading properly as their homepage when they launch Firefox after a computer reboot. Even though they have configured https://start.me correctly as homepage URL, they get a blank page when Firefox launches, or start.me is loading but without the user being logged in.
This is a known issue in Firefox and is affecting other websites that are set as homepage as well. You can read more about this issue on the mozilla support forum:
Please follow the next steps to solve this issue:
Step 1: Disable Performance settings
- Click the Menu icon
, and select Options.
- In the General pane, scroll down until you see the Performance section.
- Deselect both options, and close the tab.
Try reloading your browser to see if https://start.me is now loaded correctly as your homepage.
Step 2: Make sure "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" is unchecked
- Go to the Privacy & Security tab under Options, or go to about:preferences#privacy directly.
- Under "Cookies and Site Data" make sure that "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" is unchecked.
Step 3: Clear all browser cookies
- Go to the Privacy & Security tab under Options, or go to about:preferences#privacy directly.
- Under "Cookies and Site Data" click "Clear cookies" and Clear all Cookies and Site Data and Cached Web Content (note: this means you'll have to login again to other services).
Step 4: Add start.me as exception
- Go to the Privacy & Security tab under Options, or go to about:preferences#privacy directly.
- Under "Cookies and Site Data" click "Manage Exceptions" and add start.me in the address field. Make sure http://start.me and https://start.me are added and show up as Allowed.
Step 5: Clear all history for start.me
- Click the Menu icon
, and select Options.
- Select "Library" -> "History" -> "Show all history"
- Search for "start.me"
- Select one of the start.me pages -> Right mouse click -> Forget about this site. This will remove all start.me pages from your browser history.
