Update October 10, 2019
Our efforts to obtain Google's permission for our Gmail account have been in vain. Our Gmail widget is no longer available for start.me users. The other Google widgets are not affected.
Update August 5th, 2019
We've received word from Google that several of our PRO widgets have been verified and approved for use. These are:
We're still in the process of verifying the Google Email widget.
Update July 7th, 2019
Since July 17, 2019, users get a warning when trying to connect their Google account to the start.me email, calendar, or task widget.
Can I still use these widgets?
Yes. If you click the "Advanced" link, you will be able to proceed and connect your Google account to our widgets.
Is start.me safe?
We do not store any of your Gmail, Calendar, or Task data on our servers or in any other middleware. Our widgets connect to the relevant Google API's to fetch the data and show it inside your widget.
Why is start.me not verified?
On October 8, 2018, Google announced some changes to their API ecosystem. As a result of stricter Google policies, we needed to re-approve our app for the use of Gmail/Calendar/Task data on start.me.
Since October 2018 we've been trying to get start.me approved, but unfortunately, we've been unsuccessful so far. We are still trying to get approved and have re-submitted our app to Google.
