If you want to use start.me in Google Chrome, follow these steps:
- Set start.me as your homepage
- Set start.me as your new tab page
- Install Chrome extension
- Import bookmarks
- Create Chrome shortcut (for Chromebook)
- Get Bookmarklet

1. Set start.me as your homepage [back to top]
If you set start.me as your homepage, you can access your favorite bookmarks and widgets faster and more easily.
Now, when you click Home you'll see start.me.
Instructions 1: Drag and drop [back to top]
Drag the following image to your browser home icon.
Once you drop the image, Google Chrome will confirm that you've set a new homepage.
Note: the home icon is located just before the address-bar. If you don't see it, you must enable it first.
Instructions 2: Chrome menu [back to top]
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More
and select Settings.
- Under On startup:
- Select Open a specific page or set of pages.
- Click Add a new page.
- Enter the web address
https://start.me
and click Add to confirm.

Enable Home button [back to top]
Instructions:
- Open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More
and select Settings.
- Under Appearance, turn on Show Home button.

2. Set start.me as your new tab page [back to top]
To load start.me when you open a new tab page, you need our Chrome extension. Google Chrome does not let you set a new tab page manually.
The extension is available in the Chrome Web Store. Installing is a one-click operation.
3. Install start.me Chrome Extension [back to top]
The start.me Chrome extension makes adding bookmarks and RSS feeds to start.me much easier.
Click to install it now:
With this extension, you can easily import your Chrome bookmarks, manage your New tab page and more. Just right-click and select 'Options.'

You can also use it to bookmark any site you're visiting. One regular click will do the trick.
4. Import bookmarks [back to top]
After you've set up your browser with start.me, it's time to import the bookmarks you'd like to transfer from other browsers. You'll only have to do this once. When you've stored them on your start.me page you can access them from any browser.
- Make sure you've exported your bookmarks in HTML format.
- Click the Add content button. This is the + icon in the header.
- In the Add content pane, locate the button Import bookmarks.
- Click the Import bookmarks button and browse to the HTML file with your bookmarks.
- Click Import.
- Now you can select the folders you want to import.
- Click Import to start the process. Depending on the number of bookmarks, this may take some time.
You'll find the imported bookmarks in a new page called Import bookmarks.
